Reasons to visit in February

  • Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance often stays under an hour in the morning, a rarity for this headliner.
  • Toy Story Land rides comfortably in the 50s and 60s F without the sun-baked heat that hits this exposed land later in the year.
  • Fantasmic! and Disney Movie Magic run with thinner crowds along Sunset Boulevard and Hollywood Boulevard, so sightlines are easier to grab.
  • Short standby waits at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run mean you can ride it twice in one morning without Lightning Lane.
  • Cooler temperatures make the queue for Slinky Dog Dash, largely uncovered, much more tolerable than in summer.

Things to watch out for

  • Presidents' Day weekend pushes Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run waits up noticeably compared to the rest of the month.
  • Evenings still cool off fast once the sun drops, and Sunset Boulevard offers little shelter while waiting for Fantasmic!.
  • Toy Story Mania! and Alien Swirling Saucers can back up quickly in Toy Story Land's narrow walkways even on lighter days.
  • Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular and other Echo Lake shows run on a limited daily schedule, so missing a showtime means a long wait for the next one.
  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror's queue has stretches without much cover, and February afternoons can still get warm enough to notice.
