Human-Curated Knowledge, AI-Optimized Days: ParkSwiz Launches Its Walt Disney World Planner
The iPhone and web planner takes the overload out of a Disney trip and builds every recommendation around one family: their ages, the characters the kids want to meet, dietary restrictions, mobility and sensory needs. It reads the data so parents do not have to, from picking dates to the last ride.
ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 9, 2026 — ParkSwiz today launched its iPhone app on the U.S. App Store and opened its full service at parkswiz.com. The planner covers Walt Disney World end to end, from choosing dates and parks to the next move inside the gates, and returns calm to a planning process that seems like a second job for many families.
That process now comes with more information than any family can use: forum threads, crowd calendars, wait boards, pricing charts, a dozen apps, and often conflicting advice on Lightning Lane, Disney's paid add-on express option. ParkSwiz reads all of it and does the analysis, then answers in plain language: what to do next, and why.
"Planning a Walt Disney World visit had clearly crossed the acceptable level of overwhelm for too many people, even regular visitors," said Marc Kirschner, founder of ParkSwiz. "And as AI tools began to proliferate, they seemed to compound the stress and confusion with critically inaccurate information. Every day it seems someone launches a new AI planner that regurgitates the same outdated information, which is then shared into forums, which then feeds back into the AI."
ParkSwiz took a different approach, building its own knowledge base of more than 35,000 pieces of Disney planning information, reviewed and updated as the parks change, and more than 300 planning guides. Swiz, the ParkSwiz concierge, answers plain-language questions from that base and live park data, and links to its sources. When park policies change, the knowledge base changes with them. The ParkSwiz proprietary system interprets that data and turns it into advanced features tailored to the planning party's profile.
A trip profile records ages, the characters the kids are hoping to meet, must-do rides, dietary restrictions, and mobility and sensory needs, including Disney's Disability Access Service (DAS) and wheelchair and electric conveyance vehicle (ECV) use. Every recommendation after that, from which restaurant to book to which ride to skip, takes that profile into account. All accessibility guides are free, with no usage limits, on every plan.
As the plan takes shape, ParkSwiz's Trip Planner builds a day-to-day itinerary matched to the group, factoring in accommodations, lodging, budget and must-dos. As the park days near, the ParkSwiz optimizer turns it into a live schedule built from ParkSwiz's proprietary wait-time projections, the family's restaurant and magical extras bookings, transportation options and arrival time. Inside the park, it reorders the day as wait times change. The family checks the phone, decides and puts it away.
The Swiz platform is more than a planning tool. The mobile app serves as a personal in-park concierge. Ask where to find the nearest Dole Whip, or a lunch spot nearby with healthier options, and it guides the family to the closest stops. Swiz is built to answer the questions people do not know to ask until it feels too late: whether the parade route will block the way to a reservation, or which nearby ride has a short line while the kids’ energy holds.
The ParkSwiz system takes the trip from planning through day-of execution on the mobile app. Swiz produces a data-driven Lightning Lane strategy that fits each group’s plan and profile. When a storm closes half the rides at 2 p.m., Swiz replans the afternoon with a single click.
Key features
- A live day that reorders without starting over. A closure or a storm replans what is left, and keeps the rides already done and the Lightning Lane times already held.
- Ask Swiz in plain language. "Can my son do Space Mountain? He’s in a wheelchair." Answers come from the ParkSwiz knowledge base and live park data, with sources linked.
- Whole-day wait projections, with the accuracy published. Across 20,535 hourly comparisons at all four parks from July 22 to Aug. 31, 2026, 77% of ParkSwiz projections landed within 10 minutes of Disney’s posted wait and 48% within five.
- Lightning Lane guidance from ParkSwiz's own data. What a pass buys in saved time, ride by ride, and whether it is worth it on that date.
- Accessibility advice free on every plan. Transfer requirements, sensory advice and accessibility accommodations, with no usage limits.
- A knowledge base ParkSwiz builds and maintains. More than 35,000 park facts and more than 300 planning guides, reviewed and updated when park policies change rather than scraped once.
- A trip profile behind every recommendation. Ages, characters, must-do rides, dietary restrictions, mobility and sensory needs, including DAS and ECV use.
- An in-park concierge on the phone. The nearest Dole Whip, a healthier lunch nearby, whether the parade route blocks the way to a reservation.
- A community flywheel, not a scrape. Contributions and corrections feed the knowledge base and our own audits catch what they miss, so a wrong entry gets fixed rather than repeated into the next answer.
ParkSwiz is free to start, including daily Swiz questions and trip plans. Higher use limits and advanced functionality, such as the ParkSwiz optimizer, are available for an introductory price of $2.99 for a 24-hour Day Pass or $8.99 for a single month. An annual plan is $19.99.
