Privacy Policy
Effective March 11, 2026 · Last updated March 11, 2026
ParkSwiz LLC (“ParkSwiz,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the ParkSwiz platform at parkswiz.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account we collect your email address, display name, and an optional username. If you sign up through a third-party provider (Google, Apple) we receive the profile information you authorize that provider to share. We do not receive or store your third-party account password.
Profile & Preferences
You may optionally provide additional profile information such as your home park preference, avatar, and trip planning preferences. All of these are voluntary.
Accessibility & Accommodation Preferences
ParkSwiz offers an optional accessibility profile where you can share functional accommodation preferences — such as whether you use a mobility device, have sensory sensitivities, or are interested in services like Disney’s Disability Access Service (DAS).
This data is not medical data. We do not collect medical diagnoses, treatment information, health insurance details, or any information that constitutes protected health information (PHI) under HIPAA. We collect only broad, self-reported accommodation categories (e.g., “mobility,” “sensory processing”) and functional needs (e.g., “I use a wheelchair”). This information is treated as standard personal data under applicable privacy laws.
You can view, edit, or permanently delete your accessibility profile at any time from your account settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Chat & Community Content
When you use Ask Swiz (our AI concierge), we store your conversation history to provide context across sessions. When you contribute wiki articles, comments, Q&A answers, or trip reports, that content is stored and may be displayed publicly with your username.
Usage Data
We collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use Vercel Analytics for aggregated, privacy-friendly usage metrics. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking pixels.
Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your full credit card number. Stripe provides us with a transaction ID, last four digits, and billing postal code for receipt purposes only. Stripe’s privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the ParkSwiz platform
- Personalize your experience, including AI chat responses tailored to your accessibility preferences
- Process transactions and send related notices
- Respond to support requests and communicate about your account
- Calculate Stardust reputation scores based on community contributions
- Enforce our Terms of Service and protect against misuse
- Generate aggregated, de-identified analytics to improve content quality
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Upstash (rate limiting), Anthropic (AI processing), and OpenAI (text embeddings only). Each provider processes data solely on our behalf under their respective privacy policies.
- AI processing: When you use Ask Swiz, your message and relevant context (including accessibility preferences if you’ve set them) are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate a response. Anthropic does not use this data to train models. OpenAI processes text embeddings for search functionality only.
- Public content: Wiki articles, comments, Q&A answers, and your username/Stardust tier are visible to other users.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ParkSwiz or others.
Your accessibility preferences are never shared with advertisers, marketing platforms, or any third party beyond the AI processing described above.
4. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, row-level security (RLS) on all database tables restricting each user to their own data, rate limiting on all public endpoints, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon deletion:
- Your personal information (email, name, preferences) is permanently removed
- Your accessibility profile is immediately deleted
- Community content you authored (wiki articles, comments) is anonymized but preserved to maintain platform integrity
- Conversation history is permanently deleted
- Stardust balance and reputation data is deleted
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell your data)
- Withdraw consent for optional data collection (like accessibility preferences)
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are located in the EU, EEA, or UK, our legal basis for processing your data is your consent (for optional features like the accessibility profile) and legitimate interest (for providing the core service). 7. Children’s Privacy
ParkSwiz is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Cookies & Local Storage
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work correctly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the platform before the changes take effect. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
