Magic Kingdom has never closed due to rain alone. Only lightning (within 8 miles of the park) causes temporary outdoor attraction closures, and those typically reopen within 30 minutes of the last lightning strike.

    Rain in Orlando comes fast and leaves fast. Most summer showers last 30–60 minutes.

    Hit indoor headliners like Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion during the peak of the storm when outdoor queues thin dramatically.

    Bring a lightweight poncho: they're cheap at Disney shops and far better than an umbrella in a crowd.

    The covered Main Street, U.S.A. shops are perfect for waiting out a shower while browsing.
