Rope drop: Kilimanjaro Safaris

The single most accessible and extraordinary experience in Animal Kingdom. Drive-through, no walking required, animals at peak activity at rope drop.

The most comfortable, sophisticated dining in Animal Kingdom. Air-conditioned, unhurried, and beautiful. Reserve for midday rest.

  2. 2Maharajah Jungle Trek (paved, shaded wildlife trail)
Pro tip: Animal Kingdom closes earliest of the four parks, often at 6pm and sometimes 7 or 8pm; check the calendar for your date. By 3–4pm crowds thin, and a final wildlife trail walk is peaceful.

Animal Kingdom's walking trails and Kilimanjaro Safaris trucks accommodate wheelchairs, and ECVs can be rented in the park, though supply is limited, so reserving one off-site in advance is safer. The park's natural beauty and animal encounters reward a slower pace better than any other Disney park.
