Food Allergies & Dietary Needs at Disney World

Disney World is widely regarded as one of the best places in the world to dine with food allergies. At table service restaurants, note your allergy on the reservation and tell your server when seated; for complex needs a Special Diets-trained Cast Member is brought in to make sure the kitchen handles your order. At quick service, ask for the allergy-friendly menu or a Special Diets-trained Cast Member. Disney accommodates the Big 9 (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat/gluten, soy, fish, shellfish, sesame) plus vegan and vegetarian needs.

Table service restaurants generally offer more flexibility than quick service. Highly recommended for allergy management: Be Our Guest Restaurant (extensive allergy menus), Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, Columbia Harbour House (quick service with good allergy options), Whispering Canyon Cafe, and Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Avoid buffets if cross-contamination is a serious concern, though a Special Diets-trained Cast Member can still help at buffet restaurants.

Yes. Any guest can bring food and non-alcoholic drinks into the parks; no medical reason or documentation is needed. Bags and coolers must be no larger than 24 x 15 x 18 inches, and glass (except small baby-food jars), alcohol, and loose or dry ice are not allowed. Cast Members cannot store, prepare or heat food you bring in, so pack allergy-safe meals ready to eat.
