Disney World accommodates the Big 9 allergens at all dining locations. At quick service, ask for the allergy menu binder and order in-person—never use Mobile Order. At table service, a chef will visit your table to discuss safe options and often prepare custom dishes.

If you have a food allergy, inform the cast member at the register before ordering at any quick-service restaurant and ask to see the allergy menu binder—every location has one. Your meal will be prepared separately and brought out by a manager or chef, often in a specially marked container. This system works exceptionally well, and there’s an important nuance for the My Disney Experience app: Mobile Order now includes allergy-friendly menus you can filter by allergen, but for severe allergies or multiple restrictions, Disney still recommends ordering in person so you can speak directly with a chef.

How Disney Accommodates the Big 9 Allergens#

Disney World actively accommodates nine major allergens: gluten/wheat, dairy, egg, peanut, tree nut, soy, fish, shellfish, and sesame. This is one of the strongest allergy-accommodation programs of any major theme park globally. Every dining location—from quick service to table service—has trained staff and dedicated protocols to handle these allergens safely. You’ll find this level of care extends across all four theme parks, Disney Springs, and resort hotels.

Quick Service: The In-Person Process#

At quick-service restaurants, walk up to the register and tell the cast member about your allergen before you order. Ask to see the allergy menu binder—every quick-service location keeps one with detailed ingredient information for all menu items. The cast member will guide you through safe options, and your food will be prepared separately in a back kitchen area away from cross-contamination risks.

A chef or manager will bring your meal directly to your table, often in a distinctive container or with special labeling to confirm it’s been prepared safely. This process adds 10–15 minutes to your wait time compared to standard quick service, so plan accordingly during peak lunch and dinner hours.

Using Mobile Order with Allergies

Mobile Order through the My Disney Experience app does support allergy-friendly ordering at many quick-service locations. When you select a restaurant, look for the “Allergy-Friendly” menus (under “See All Categories”) and tap the menu matching your allergen—you can find items prepared without gluten/wheat, egg, soy, peanut/tree nut, milk, sesame, and fish/shellfish.

There are limits, though. Mobile Order’s allergen menus only cover those common allergens, you can’t request custom modifications (like “no garlic”), and you can’t speak with a chef through the app. For that reason, if you have a severe allergy, anaphylaxis risk, multiple restrictions, or a less-common allergen, skip Mobile Order and order in person at the counter so a chef or manager can confirm your meal is safe. When you do use Mobile Order, confirm with a cast member at pickup that your meal was prepared to your allergy request before eating.

Table Service: Chef Consultations Are Standard#

At table-service restaurants, note your allergies when making your dining reservation through the My Disney Experience app or by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463). When you’re seated, remind your server immediately—don’t wait until you’re ready to order. (Note: as of early 2026, Disney removed the allergy-selection field from the advance dining reservation booking flow, so it’s especially important to state your allergies to your server on arrival.)

In most cases, a chef will come to your table to discuss safe options. This isn’t a special accommodation you need to request; it’s standard practice at Disney table-service locations. The chef will often prepare a custom dish that’s not on the menu, tailored to your specific allergen needs. This is one of the strongest differentiators between dining at Disney World versus off-property restaurants, where you’re typically limited to what’s already on the menu with modifications.

Best Quick-Service Restaurants for Allergy Guests#

Satu’li Canteen at Animal Kingdom is the top choice for allergy-friendly quick service. The customizable bowl format lets you build meals around safe ingredients, and the location has extensive gluten-free and allergen-aware options clearly marked. The staff here are particularly well-trained on allergy protocols.

Sunshine Seasons at EPCOT offers multiple stations with different cuisines, giving you more options to find something safe. Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café at Magic Kingdom has a large allergy menu with clear labeling. At Hollywood Studios, Ronto Roasters has gluten-free options available, though the menu is more limited than the other recommendations.

Dedicated Allergy-Friendly Dining#

Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC at Disney Springs is entirely gluten-free and vegan—the only dedicated allergen-free bakery on Disney property. Everything here is free from gluten, dairy, eggs, and refined sugar. If you’ve been avoiding baked goods throughout your trip, this is where you can finally have cupcakes, donuts, and cookies without worry.

Table Service Standouts#

Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom has an extensive gluten-free menu with multiple options for each course. Beaches & Cream at Beach Club Resort provides clear allergen labeling on its menu, making it easier to identify safe choices without lengthy chef consultations—though chefs are still available if needed.

Planning Ahead for Complex Needs#

If you have multiple severe allergies or less common allergens beyond the Big 9, call 407-WDW-DINE at least two weeks before your trip. Disney can accommodate most requests with advance notice, but complex needs require coordination between multiple kitchens and suppliers. The special dietary team can also recommend specific restaurants that will work best for your situation.
