Attraction Queue Re-Entry & Meet-Up at Disney World

Disney's Attraction Queue Re-Entry and Meet-Up let a Guest leave a queue and rejoin their party, or wait outside and join them before boarding. No registration, no approval, and no need to explain why.

Key facts

  • Leave a queue and rejoin your party (Re-Entry), or wait outside and join them further along (Meet-Up)
  • No registration, no approval, no advance notice — every attraction has a defined process
  • You never have to explain why. Disney states this explicitly

To Leave and Re-Enter a Queue

1At the attraction entrance, ask a Cast Member about exit options before you join — or just join, if you already know how to get out
2If you need to leave, exit while the rest of your party stays in the queue. Someone may leave with you
3To come back, go to the front of the attraction and say you are using Attraction Queue Re-Entry and need to rejoin your party
4A Cast Member will walk you to your group so you ride together

To Wait Outside and Meet Up

1Your party joins the queue and asks a Cast Member at what point they should call you
2Wait somewhere that works for you — make sure your party can reach you by call or text
3When they signal, go to the front of the attraction and say you are using Attraction Queue Meet-Up
4A Cast Member will walk you to your group before boarding

Worth Knowing

1You do not need to discuss your reason with the Cast Member, for either option
2If you are travelling alone, or with party members who cannot be left in the queue without you, contact Accessibility Services before your visit
3These need no eligibility conversation, so they are often the faster answer than DAS
4Misusing any accommodation results in a permanent ban from Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, with passes and tickets forfeited

Queue Re-Entry & Meet-Up — Frequently Asked Questions

What is Attraction Queue Re-Entry at Disney World?

It is the accommodation that lets a Guest leave an attraction queue when a need arises and rejoin their party before boarding. Disney pairs it with Attraction Queue Meet-Up, where the Guest waits outside the queue entirely and joins their party further along. Every attraction has a defined process for both. Neither needs registration, approval, or advance notice. It was previously known informally as "Return to Queue".

How do I use Attraction Queue Re-Entry or Meet-Up?

For Re-Entry: at the attraction entrance, ask a Cast Member about the exit options before you join — or simply join the queue if you already know how to get out. If you need to leave, exit while the rest of your party stays put; someone may leave with you. To come back, go to the front of the attraction and tell a Cast Member you are using Attraction Queue Re-Entry and need to rejoin your party. For Meet-Up: your party joins the queue and asks a Cast Member when to call you, then you go to the front and say you are using Attraction Queue Meet-Up. Either way a Cast Member walks you to your group.

Do I have to explain my disability to use it?

No. Disney states explicitly that you do not need to discuss your reason for leaving or for waiting outside the queue. There is no registration, no eligibility conversation and no documentation. If you are travelling alone, or with party members who cannot be left in the queue without you, contact Accessibility Services before your visit so the attraction can plan for it.

How is this different from DAS?

DAS gives you a return time so you never enter the standard queue at all. Re-Entry and Meet-Up work around the queue you are already in — Re-Entry if you need to step out mid-wait, Meet-Up if you cannot manage the queue environment but your party can hold your place. They suit needs that arise unpredictably, and unlike DAS they require no eligibility conversation, so they are often the faster answer.
